Executable Example — Artifact Integrity

This first step establishes the exact artifact being verified.

Terminal window
powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\01-hash-artifact.ps1

The script calculates SHA-256 for demo-artifact.txt and writes the expected value to:

output\expected.sha256

An integrity value is useful only when it is tied to a defined artifact and verification boundary. This example deliberately keeps that boundary small: one file, one algorithm, one expected identity.
