Verification Failure

A failed verification is a valid result and should be preserved.

  1. Read the verification status.
  2. Identify the failed condition.
  3. Confirm the verification contract.
  4. Inspect the artifact and associated evidence.
  5. Check integrity and required inputs.
  6. Correct the underlying issue if appropriate.
  7. Run verification again.

A later successful verification does not erase the meaning of an earlier failed result.

Each verification outcome represents its own evaluation.
