Missing Evidence

Verification cannot succeed reliably when required evidence is absent.

  1. Confirm which verification contract applies.
  2. Identify the required evidence set.
  3. Confirm that the expected artifact is present.
  4. Check manifests and source references.
  5. Confirm that evidence belongs to the same artifact version.

Missing evidence should be surfaced explicitly.

Do not substitute an assumption for a required evidence artifact.

Recover the required evidence or produce a new artifact and evidence set through the defined workflow.
