Section titled “Good example requests”Examples should ideally be:
- small enough to inspect;
- executable where practical;
- deterministic or clearly bounded;
- explicit about expected PASS and FAIL behavior;
- independent of private data;
- linked to the relevant contract or reference page.
What an example is not
Section titled “What an example is not”An example does not automatically define the normative production API.
When an executable example and an authoritative contract differ, the authoritative contract takes precedence.
