Use Case Publishing Rules

A case study should help a developer understand what was actually done, not create a stronger impression than the evidence supports.

Before publishing a use case as an executed pilot or production case, record:

  • status;
  • organization or anonymized participant;
  • accountable owner;
  • relevant dates;
  • workflow;
  • DigiEmu technologies used;
  • data conditions;
  • verification controls;
  • observed outcome;
  • limitations;
  • external verification status.

Use a customer or partner name only when publication is appropriate and authorized.

An anonymized description is preferable to implying permission that has not been established.

Prefer:

  • “workflow executed end to end”;
  • “verification returned PASS under the stated conditions”;
  • “pilot participant completed the defined workflow”;
  • “restore reproduced the preserved state”.

Avoid unsupported statements such as:

  • “enterprise proven”;
  • “production ready everywhere”;
  • “fully compliant”;
  • “externally validated” when no external assessment exists.

When a case moves from demonstration to pilot or from pilot to production, preserve the earlier evidence and add the new operational evidence rather than rewriting the history.
